Accommodation and Equipment
The Main Hall (8.6m wide x 16.7m long) will seat 200 theatre-style, 150 banqueting (natural light). Small Hall (6.8m wide x 8.2m deep) will seat 50 conference-style (natural light) Meeting Rooms 1 & 2 with sink (each 4.25m x 5.75m) seating 25 with solid folding partition to make one larger space (natural light).
The Stage Room (5.75m x 8.5m) can be used as a stage as part of the main hall, but with solid folding partition to enable it to be used as a meeting room (indirect natural light through sunpipes which can be blacked out for performances). Two Interview Rooms (each approx. 2.85m x 4.32m) to be used by 2/3 people Kitchen (36 m2) fitted out to a high commercial standard, suitable for both small scale use and for off-site caterers to service large events. Cafe and Foyer (5.9m deep x 16.7m at widest point) to sit around 24 at bistro style tables. Foyer and reception area, with Centre Manager’s office behind. Toilets – 5 female, 2 male + 2 urinals, 2 disabled (one at each end of the building). 1 separate baby changing facility.
Equipment is still to be arranged, and is initially subject to budget restraints. It is expected that the hall will open with the following equipment:
200 chairs will be used in all the rooms as necessary except the cafe which will have 24 chairs and 6 tables. A mixture of round and rectangular tables for the main hall. Sound and lighting system for the main hall. Easi-rect staging. Basic cutlery and crockery to serve the cafe. Projector, screen and sound system to show films etc in the small hall.
