COMMUNITY CAFE
At the front of the building is an attractive Cafe off the foyer serving drinks and light refreshments at very reasonable prices. The Cafe is open to users of the Centre & passersby. In the summer we hope to use the sheltered patio to provide an open air bistro.
At present the Cafe is open Mon to Fri 9.30am – 2.30pm.
**** Please note: During the Summer Holidays the Cafe will be open on Tuesday’s only*****
Consideration is given to extend the opening times for big events but prior arrangement must be made with the manager or cafe co-ordinator.
NB: Cafe closed during school holidays.
A well equipped kitchen allows for the provision of hot homemade meals and larger scale group catering for weddings, conferences and parties.
The Centre manager can provide a list of outside caterers if required.
Since September the Centre has employed a Co-ordinator (in partnership with Oxfordshire Employment Services) to help with the smooth running of the cafe.
The Community Centre relies heavily on the volunteer groups who all give their time to help run the Cafe. The groups of volunteers are as follows:
- Monday – Witney & Abingdon College
- Tuesday – Oxfordshire Employment Service
- Wednesday – St. Johns Church
- Thursday & Friday – Cafe co-ordinator & helpers
Without the continued support of all our volunteers we would be unable to provide this service for the Community. We are always looking for more helpers so if you would like to offer us a bit of your spare time then we would love to hear from you.
